Watergates is a large underground bar in Chesters center. It has many rooms some that used to be old wine cellers. The main room has a huge bar that has every sort of alcohol you can wish for, lager, bitter, spirits, champagne, wine and more. There are side rooms sort of like booths with leather seats that can be nice to sit in so you can be in private. There is a very nice sort of VIP style room at the back with all leather seats but it isn't VIP andyone can go in but not many people know about it so you can have it to yourselves. There is also a long corridor with a restaurant style setup with chairs and tables.

They have a roof terrace with heaters so you can have a drink or some food upstairs all year round. Overall it is a very nice big bar that it well worth a visit on a night out, make sure you are in the right clothes to get past the bouncers tho (trainers are fine but no ripped jeans or tracksuits).

We reccomend this bar to anyone who wants to go to a big bar that has many drinks to offer and wants a seat as there are many in this place. They also have a great wine list and cocktail list.
