Telfords Warehouse
(1 votes)
The building is amongst the most interesting and important features of the historic city of Chester. Originally conceived by the famous industrial engineer Thomas Telford in the 1790’s, the Warehouse stands as a magnificent example of Georgian architecture and as a reminder of the once thriving port of Chester.

A fine balance of customer exists attracted by it’s friendly staff and large open bar with an exceptional selection of European beers, CAMRA rated cask conditioned ales and extensive wine list. Superbly located on the canal basin this spacious pub enjoys many original features with a high ceiling, exposed timbers and brick walls housing industrial artefacts, while the feature glass frontage provides a tranquil scene overlooking the water.
Upstairs is a popular restaurant and contemporary art gallery with relaxed attentive service and an excellent eclectic menu. Large comfy sofas provide an opportunity to indulge in style. The lower area and bar are reserved for the many popular live music nights playing host to the likes of Coldplay, Courtnay Pine, Robert Plant, Richie Havens, Kathryn Williams, John Martyn and Nitin Sawnhay. This consistency has been rewarded with ‘Telford’s’ now firmly established as recognised national touring venue.
